Very cold and even Windier posted 9am 1 Feb

The scoured cliffs of coire an t sneachda but with localised unstable accumulations at the tops of gullies and corrie rims

Loose sugar like facet grains which have grown in the pack as a result of a strong temperature gradient- N aspect at 1075m.

More snow arrived than expected, which has created a lot of windslab build up on W through North to East aspects above 900 metres mainly. Severe drifting on the tops and into the crags. Some human triggered avalanche activity reported on a NE aspect at 1100 m.

The cloud base was down to around 800 metres for the first part of the day but eventually it cleared for a few hours.

Generally a bare landscape but the areas of snow that remain are generally bullet hard

Another fine day

The buttresses in Lochain and the Great Slab, all looking a bit sparse but some route do able
